Sorlet: wordmark and strapline on cream

Overview

Sorlet makes hats for people who want their style to feel like their own. Every hat is made with care, so the brand needed to feel personal and handmade.

The whole brand grows from one idea: style as unique as your history.

Challenge

Classic fashion brands often look alike. They lean on old crests, faded photos and traditional type. Sorlet wanted that same sense of quality, but in a way that felt fresh and truly its own. The packaging had a job to do too. It is a corrugated mailer, so it needs to fold flat and pack fast. It is also the first thing a customer touches, so it had to feel like a gift.

Solution

We drew the Sorlet name by hand, mixing thick and thin strokes to give it an elegant feel. We also built a monogram that stacks the letters into a neat seal, which works well on labels, stamps and small spaces.

Deep forest green leads the brand, with warm tan and gold on a soft cream background. Together they feel rich, calm and welcoming.

We treated the box as part of the product. The outside is full green with the gold monogram on the lid. The flower pattern is printed inside, so it becomes a lovely surprise when the box is opened.

Two typefaces share the work. A bold, elegant one carries the name and the big lines. A simpler, easy-to-read one handles everything else, like the note inside the lid and the care label. One is for the name, the other is for the story.

The packaging does a lot of work. It is a corrugated mailer, so it folds flat, builds in one easy move and keeps the hat safe on its way. It still opens like a gift. Forest green outside with the gold monogram on the lid, flower artwork printed inside, a printed note where a packing slip would normally go, and a built-in handle so it is easy to carry.

Conclusion

Sorlet now has a brand that feels personal and handmade. It looks just as good arriving as a box at the door as it does on a phone screen.
